Welcome to Still House Farm

Welcome to the farm.  We are glad you took some time from your world to visit ours.
Still House Farm is a 24 acre farm located among the beautiful Appalachian mountains of North Georgia.  More specifically we are located outside of the small town of Blairsville Georgia which is a two hour drive north of Atlanta.  Our philosophy at Still House Farm is to grow and raise everything naturally, organically.  While being a natural farm takes so much more time and work we believe the benefits to our animals, customers and environment are worth it.

The History

The folklore surrounding the farm reveals that when the original owner purchased the land he found that he was unable to afford the taxes on the land.  Being a resourceful Appalachian man he started a secondary business to support his love for farming.  That secondary business was making distilled spirits or moonshine as its known in these parts.  The name of the farm was taken from that business and the still that was hidden among the trees along the stream that runs the length of the farm.  While the still is now gone, the spirit of Appalachian hard work and natural living remains.
We were able to purchase the farm in March of 2010.  While we first saw and fell in love with the property in 2007 it was a major decision to leave life in a large metropolitan area and move to a rural community in the mountains.   Realizing that the dream of owning a farm had been a life long dream there was no other choice than to move ahead with the purchase of a dream farm.  That was the beginning of the Still House Farm adventure.
